Fish Fry 2024 is upon us and this year things are going really well as we spend time together as Brother Knights helping to build our Catholic Community. Dinners are $15 with kid’s plates available. There are discounts for large families spending over $50. As always, TAKE OUT is available.
The fish plate is either several fillets or coconut shrimp. Entrees come with, coleslaw or hushpuppies. and choice of
fries or homemade macaroni and cheese. There is even a grilled cheese sandwich option for special diets and timid children.
We have been assisted by many members, their families, and the Catholic Daughters.

When you support the Knights at any of their events, raffles, or dinners, you are supporting not only them, but help the Knights and Catholic Daughters fund their support programs and for the poor, veterans, homeless, seminarians, and other special needs of the parish.
We are even receiving help from local students seeking an opportunity to help in the community and earn service hours. If you have a student needing hours, we can always use “mess cooks,” set up, table maintenance, and teardown help. Just let Rodger Traynor know that you have a volunteer. Don’t forget to bring your student hours certification form for completion by the Knights.
Our final fish fry of this Lenten season is on March 15th.

If you are “old, infirm, or otherwise unable to help” we still look forward to you joining us. You can sit at the entrance and be a “Knights of Columbus Greeter.” You can also kick back, enjoy the meal, and table hop to visit with new and old friends.
This is a SPECIAL NEEDS job that Jerry Pilarski started as a means to show our council in action and to personally invite others to consider joining the Knights. He spent years as a Sunday and special event meet-and-greeter and continued to serve in this position well into his 90’s. Many of the kids that stopped by to see “their Jerry” on Sunday became parents themselves and they continued the tradition of stopping by to greet Jerry. You can help fill that void by proudly wearing your Council Badge and a big smile each Sunday. Take time before mass to welcome everyone, opening the door, and giving a big smile and a hello to each and every kid. Then after mass help with passing out bulletins. Who knows, you, too, may be sought by our parish children as they eagerly join their parents for mass.
